COLLEGE FOOTBALL
SJ - August 28, 2020
If you thought Les Miles had lost his fastball you would be sadly mistaken. The Kansas head football coach dropped an all-time line about opting out due to the pandemic.
Miles said opting out because of the pandemic was actually opting into the pandemic. Because according to Miles, the pandemic is worldwide.
From CJ Online:
“If they opt out because of the pandemic, then they opt into the pandemic,” Miles said at a news conference. “The last I saw it, the pandemic was worldwide, OK? So I don’t know what their advantage is to turn at this point away from what would be a good finish to a college career and opportunity to advance their abilities and then have a choice whether to go off to the NFL or to stay and compete. So we’d love to have them stay and compete.”
This is a football guy mental pretzel. As long as we have some sort of football we'll still have these kinds of coach speak comments to entertain ourselves with.
I'm so happy we'll have some form of College Football in the fall.
