It's a match made in never-ending pandemic hell.  A Mountain Dew that will contain alcohol.  According to reports PepsiCo and Boston Beer have teamed up to create the alcohol containing version of the popular soda.

The Hard Mountain Dew is going to hit shelves in early 2022.

From CNBC:

PepsiCo and Sam Adams brewer Boston Beer are teaming up to create an alcoholic version of Mountain Dew.

Boston Beer will develop and produce the drink, called Hard Mtn Dew, while Pepsi has created a new entity to sell, deliver and market the product. The beverage is expected to hit shelves in early 2022.

Hard Mtn Dew will belong to the flavored malt beverage category and contain 5% alcohol by volume. Early images of the products also show that it will contain zero sugar.

Oh good Mountain Dew with alcohol and no sugar and it's just in time for whatever the latest variant will be then.  We may have failed miserably as a people responding to the pandemic, but at least we'll have Mountain Dew with alcohol in it.
