Jon Gruden Tells an HBO Producer “The Truth Will Come Out” About the Email Scandal

Jon Gruden is "letting the dust settle" after leaked emails ended his run as the Raiders head coach a couple of weeks ago.  He's been quiet about the entire situation, but hinted to an HBO producer that at some point that could change.

Gruden told her that "the truth will come out" about the email scandal.  While he didn't elaborate it certainly suggests there is more to this story.

“Maggie Burbank, who produced the story that we just did on Mark Davis, she actually called Gruden and he picked up the phone, much to I think her surprise,” Kremer said. “And he’s still in Las Vegas. . . . He says he’s letting the dust settle. He said, ‘People who know me know what I stand for for 58 years. I have a resume of 58 years.’ He said, ‘The truth will come out.’ It’s certainly cryptic.”

The theory that Washington Football Team owner Daniel Snyder leaked the emails to take heat off of his own franchise has been tossed around.  While not proven, it certainly did do just that.

It sounds like a weasel move a guy like Snyder would make.  Let's hope we get the 30 for 30 on this one someday.  It's amazing how nothing has taken down this guy yet.
