Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was taken to the hospital on Sunday after Cincinnati's overtime loss to the Packers. According to reports he was having trouble talking after the game and was being evaluated for a possible throat contusion.
From WLWT5:
Joe Burrow was taken to a Cincinnati hospital Sunday after an intense game against the Green Bay Packers.
According to a Bengals spokesperson, the quarterback needed to be evaluated for a possible throat contusion.
Is possible throat contusion a new phrase for concussion? Because I still don't know how Burrow didn't miss a snap after taking a quick nap on the field when his head was bounced off the turf.
You would think if anyone on the Bengals needed to have their throat evaluated it would have been the kicker. He missed the game winner and celebrated the miss.
