If anyone is going to take a chance on a guy that has been released due to issues with their previous team, it's the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones loves those kinds of guys.
The reports that surfaced on Tuesday morning indicated that the Cowboys wouldn't be pursuing free agent safety Earl Thomas, who was released by the Baltimore Ravens over the weekend following a fight with a teammate.
Jones immediately denied those reports during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan. He made it clear that the Cowboys won't make a decision on Thomas until they meet with his representatives.
Jerry Jones says reports #Cowboys have decided not to pursue Earl Thomas are erroneous, adding, “That guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”

#Cowboys Owner/GM Jerry Jones says the first part of the Earl Thomas decision is to evaluate what they have on roster at that position. He said they’ve completed that phase and next would be to speak directly with Thomas and his agent. So #Cowboys remain interested.

Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on Earl Thomas: “I haven’t visited personally with Earl and don’t know that anybody has but that would probably be a next step.”

Will the Cowboys sign Earl Thomas? It's certainly possible. The one thing Jerry Jones will do is milk the entire situation for everything it's worth. It's how he's built his brand.
