Baker Mayfield is up for an extension with the Browns this off-season. But his inconsistent play might have Cleveland looking elsewhere. Jay Glazer was asked about the situation during an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show."
Glazer expects the Browns to explore all of their options at quarterback before committing to Mayfield long-term. That could make for an interesting off-season in Cleveland.

It's crazy to think the Browns wouldn't sign Mayfield to an extension. As inconsistent as he's been, he's by far the best quarterback to take the field in many, many years. If they pass on Baker and miss on the next quarterback it would be hard for their fan base to forgive them.
