Jameis Winston Has Been Named QB1 of the Saints

It's official, Jameis Winston is a starting quarterback in the NFL again.  He beat out Swiss army knife Taysom Hill with a very strong performance against the Jaguars.

Saints players were spotted yesterday congratulating Jameis Winston, who locked up the job with a strong performance during Monday night’s preseason win over the Jaguars.

Jameis was forced to take a backup role with the Saints last year despite throwing for over 5,000 yards in 2019.  Tom Brady played a role in that when he stole his job in Tampa.  Although to be fair Jameis had worn out his welcome a little prior to that.

It worked out for the Bucs, as Brady did what he does, and collected another ring.  The Saints are hoping the Jameis signing will work out for them.

Jameis has already proved, with his Lasik and ability to throw the ball more than 15 yards, that the Saints have the potential to put up a shitload of points this season.
