Jaguars Have Released Former First-Round Pick RB Leonard Fournette

Leonard Fournette and the Jacksonville Jaguars have finally parted ways.  Earlier in the off-season they declined the fifth year option on the former first-round pick and have been trying to trade him.

The running back was taken four spots ahead of Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey in the 2017 draft.

While he hasn't lived up to that billing, Fournette ran for over 1,000 yards last season in 15 games and should get another opportunity.

The Jaguars are a completely different team than the one that made a run in the playoffs a few years ago.  It was a good run while it lasted.

What a start to the week.  Get ready for some more tough times in Duval this season...
