The Dolphins are making a change at quarterback. It was reported on Tuesday that it's officially Tua Time in Miami.
They're on a bye week next week and when the 3-3 Dolphins return to action their first-round pick Tua Tagovailoa will be under center.
Tua got his first taste in the NFL on Sunday in mop up duty during a blowout win over the Jets.
Dolphins have a bye this week. When they rerun the next week for a home game against the Rams, Tua Tagovailoa will be their starting QB. https://t.co/NVc3Kc0GfG

And now it is, officially, Tua Time. https://t.co/A6qJbhJthB

It was only a matter of time before Tua was handed the keys to the franchise. The time is now and he'll have 10 games to figure it out.
This must have been the plan from day one. The Dolphins are currently sitting in second place in the AFC East which makes the timing of the move a little interesting.
Handing Tua the starting job on a team with something to play for is better plan than doing so on a terrible team and having him get the shit kicked out of him.
