Carson Wentz signed a 4 year, $128,000,000 contract with the Eagles on June 10, 2019. He was then traded to the Colts less than two years after signing the massive deal.
Wentz now faces an uncertain future after a late season meltdown, including a Week 18 loss to the Jaguars that kept the Colts out of the playoffs. He is under contract, but the GM Chris Ballard doesn't sound too confident in his current quarterback.
Ballard made a lot of headline grabbing comments about the Colts quarterback situation.
"We embarrassed ourselves. Embarrassed our owner. Embarrassed our city." — Colts GM Chris Ballard

Chris Ballard on Carson Wentz: ‘At the time, we felt it was the right decision…I’m not going to make a comment on who is going to be here next year and who is not.’

Something Chris Ballard said to Carson Wentz in their season-ending meeting yesterday: "Make the layups. Just make the layups."

Chris Ballard: "We need stability at the quarterback position. The years we've had it, we've been pretty good. And we thought we had it until the end of the season."

This comes after head coach Frank Reich failed to commit to Wentz. Things in Indy could be very interesting again this off-season. Will they sign a veteran free agent or make another big trade?
A guy like Jimmy G could be available or maybe even Mitchell Trubisky.
