Hurricanes Safety Seeks Out a Block Instead of What Appeared to be an Easy Tackle

Miami Hurricanes safety Gurvan Hall Jr. made an all-time mental mistake against Michigan State on Saturday.  As he appeared to be lining up a tackle Hall suddenly turns to embrace a block rather than make the tackle.

I don't know what happened to Hall on this play other than he had a brain fart.  How else do you explain this?  I would think a "business decision" would have avoided all contact.

If I was the head coach I'd pull him out of the game immediately to have him checked for a head injury.  If he passed that he'd be on the bench the rest of the day.

The body craves contact.  You can't seek out a block over making a tackle.  Someone needs to remind him that he plays at The U.  This kind of play is how you get embarrassed at home by Michigan State.
