Half Court Shot During a Timeout at the Alabama Game Lands Dude a $200 BBQ Gift Card!

This is a pretty fun story for an Alabama student who is now going viral. He was selected for a half-court shooting contest during last night's game between the Crimson Tide and Morehead State.

He landed the shot.

So not only did he defy the odds by being selected out of a stadium full or half-full of people, but he also sunk the shot that's not an easy shot to sink.

His prize, a $200 BBQ gift card.

Now, BBQ is good, it's actually really good and it's pretty expensive, probably something a typical student can't treat himself to, so not a bad prize.

However, other half-court shots have landed people who have landed the basket more than $10,000 dollars, which $200 in BBQ is not.

As far as I'm concerned, he came out richer than he went in, so people need to stop being money grubbers and I am sure the internet has started a GoFundMe for him, that they've sold the life rights to his story for a Netflix movie, and that he'll be ok.
