After just two professional MMA bouts, Glory Kickboxing champion Cedric Doumbe will face Darian Weeks at UFC Fight Night on Sept 3rd at the Accor Arena, in Paris.
An anonymous insider has apparently spoken to MMA Junkie about the upcoming event, which has honestly been years in the making, if you ask fighting fans.
Doumbe is currently 2-0 in his short MMA career. He also just happens to be a two-time Glory welterweight champion, who has dominated the sport. To the surprise of nobody, the Cameroonian-born french kickboxer has won both bouts by way of knockout, and looks to continue on this path as he transitions into the MMA world.
Darian Weeks, on the other hand, is sitting with an 0-2 record in the UFC and the pressure is on to secure a win in the octagon. Both losses come from unanimous decisions, against Bryan Barberena and Ian Garry.
The pressure is on for Darian. At this point, it’s do or die, and despite the lack of MMA experience, Cedric is no journeyman. But will he be glorious in the octagon, or will he lose his shine?
