Georgia LB Adam Anderson Has Been Suspended After Being Accused of Rape

Georgia linebacker Adam Anderson has been suspended by the team after being accused of raping a woman the weekend of Halloween.  He has not been arrested as the allegations are still being investigated.

From FOX 5 Atlanta:

According to an Athens-Clarke County Police Department incident report, a 21-year-old woman says Adam Anderson sexually assaulted her at a party on the morning of Friday, Oct. 29.

In the report, the woman claims that she had a few drinks and woke up while the rape was taking place. She reported it to the police later on Friday.

Anderson has not been arrested while police continue a preliminary investigation.

There wasn't a timeline for the investigation mentioned so there's no telling when Anderson could return to the team, if ever.  Obviously these are serious allegations and they need to be fully investigated.

You hope a young college athlete wouldn't throw everything away doing something like this, but unfortunately there have been plenty of examples of athletes doing just that.
