Former MLB star Johnny Damon and his wife Michelle were arrested early Friday morning in Florida. Johnny for DUI and his wife for battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence after she pushed a police officer.
Damon, who played 18 seasons in the MLB most notably for the Red Sox and Yankees, was reportedly swerving all over the road prior to his arrest. His blood alcohol level was almost four times the legal limit.
From TMZ Sports:
TMZ Sports has obtained the police report ... in which cops say Johnny Damon's blood-alcohol level was .30, nearly FOUR TIMES the legal limit.
Cops also say Damon's wife was in the car at the time of the arrest -- and describe her as being completely out of control. In fact, cops say Michelle Mangan-Damon was uncooperative, combative -- and at one point, she actually pushed a police officer.
While Johnny was booked for DUI, Michelle was arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.
Sounds like a typical night out in Florida. You know the state motto; a couple that gets arrested together, stays together!
Thankfully nobody was hurt or killed by Damon and his wife (I'm sure the officer will be fine).
