There are benefits to playing at Alabama and there are some downsides to playing there too. One of those downsides is finding your name in the headlines whenever something like being busted in a prostitution sting happens.
That's exactly what happened to 42-year-old Kindal Jerome Moorehead. The former Alabama defensive tackle, who was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2003, was arrested on Tuesday night in Alabama as part of a prostitution sting.
From AL.com:
“It’s no secret that we conduct these types of operations on a regular basis,” said Human Trafficking Task Force Commander Capt. Phil Simpson. “Still, these suspects took a chance and attempted to purchase sex.”
“On another night, they may have ended up making arrangements with someone who is actually a victim of human trafficking or forced prostitution,’’ Simpson said. “Ultimately, this is more about protecting those victims by eliminating, or at least reducing, demand.”
Can't a guy get a little action without the police getting involved? If there are two consenting adults involved then the police should be focusing on real crime.
