The NHL announced on Twitter on Tuesday night that the season was being put on pause due to a rise in positive COVID-19 cases in the league. The pause will be in effect until December 26th when players are to report back to their teams for testing.

This is supposed to be a league filled with the toughest athletes in the world? The NHL is sending their players home to gather indoors with their families. Smart, especially considering this is a virus that spreads primarily in....oh wait a minute....
Let's hope the rest of the professional sports leagues don't follow the NHL's idiotic lead. There's no reason for pauses or suspensions of play.
