ESPN’s Peter Burns Had an All-Time Awkward Moment When He Asked About Announcer’s Dead Dog

An extremely awkward moment took place during Tuesday night's Ole Miss and Florida.  As ESPN's Peter Burns was handing the game back over to the announcers of the game he asked announcer Tom Hart how his dog Larry was doing.

Hart revealed that they had to put the dog down a few weeks ago.  Hart then tried to smooth over the awkward moment by putting the attention on his partner.  The awkward damage had already been done.

This is exactly why you don't ask co-workers you don't know very well how their pets or kids are doing.  You never know when they just had to put one of them down.  Peter learned that the hard way.
