Emmitt Smith and His Former Beauty Queen Wife Announce That They’re Separating

Dallas Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith and his former beauty queen wife, Pat, announce that they're separating.  The announcement comes just a few months after the couple, who has three children, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

The couple made the announcement in a joint statement over the weekend.

"We are publicly sharing that after much contemplation and prayer, we have decided to separate," the 51-year-old Hall of Famer announced in a joint statement with Pat.

"We will continue to move forward with love and compassion for one another, as co-parents and friends."

"We will work together in the best interests of our children, our family, community and businesses."

The Dallas Cowboys legend married Pat -- a former Miss Virginia USA beauty queen -- back in April 2000. They have 3 children together.

The quarantine claims another marriage.  Being locked inside with someone at all times, even after 20 plus years together, will test a marriage.

Both of them will be okay.  Emmitt still has some money and star power.  Pat has some of Emmitt's money and she hasn't lost a step since her beauty queen days.
