Dustin Johnson was the first big name golfer to make the move from the PGA Tour to the Saudi backed LIV Golf. He was reportedly paid handsomely to do so. Others joined and with the kind of money being thrown around there will be more to join him.
It's been reported that Johnson was paid a sign-on fee of $125 million. That doesn't include the paydays that are handed out to the golfers for winning, $4 million, and competing, six figures. Until Friday the length of his commitment was unknown.
According to Sean Zak of Golf Magazine, Johnson has committed to four years of LIV Golf events.

Money talks. It would be really hard to turn down a $125 million opportunity. Just ask the NBA. They can't get enough money from the Chinese despite their questionable human rights record.
