As you may or may not know, the internet has destroyed the analytic mind of the average human. We are just mindless shells of humans being force fed our slop like chickens being made for the fast food chains.
So we are at a time when viral stunts can work, because people don't bother questioning it or thinking it's a joke, they are just so over exposed to content in the stream, they don't bother going "that's so fake". They take it at face value.
So the official story is when Pointsbet filmed a commercial starring Drew Brees, he was struck by lightning, but that was the gag.
After an hour of the gag, they released a statement that Drew Brees was alive and it was all just a viral marketing stunt to promote a new offer they have.
The whole thing is ridiculous!

Time to let you in on a little fun we've had with @drewbrees guys. He's alive and well and "buzzing" for a weekend of free bets. Keep your eyes on our channels all weekend for bet drops for US vs. Netherlands, College Football and NFL. pic.twitter.com/vhnLm5S0Cw
