Gina Carano's anti-mask and election fraud tweets has caused cancel culture to come after her. They're demanding that Disney remove her from her role as Cara Dune on "The Mandalorian."
So far the controversy has remained on social media. Disney hasn't publicly addressed Carano's tweets and she hasn't issued any kind of apology for them.
That could be changing. According to an industry insider, Disney has asked the former MMA fighter to apologize for her tweets. They're allegedly holding a possible Cara Dune spinoff over her head to get her to issue the apology.
From We Got This Covered:
Insider Daniel Richtman claims that Disney have now taken matters into their own hands and asked the former MMA fighter to apologize for her repeated transgressions, otherwise she can forget about that solo series.
Over on his Patreon account, the tipster shared the following:
“Disney told Gina Carano she needs to apologize if she wants her own spinoff.”
It's an interesting strategy by Disney if it's true. We really want to milk this franchise further, but first we need you to issue a fake apology to a bunch of sensitive assholes on Twitter who can only accept one point of view.
If I had to take a wild guess, I would guess, that Gina's not going to apologize even if it costs her the shot at a spinoff.
