Suns star Devin Booker revealed on a recent Twitch stream that he has COVID. He's doesn't have any taste or smell, but other than that seems to be doing just fine.
Booker will miss the start of the Suns training camp this week because of it. So was Booker one of the breakthrough cases? He's not going to tell.
From Outkick:
Booker, who averaged 25.6 points last season, confirmed that he was COVID-positive in a video posted to his Twitch stream on Sunday: “Honestly, y’all, I’m feeling straight. The only thing I’m dealing with is no taste, no smell, which is the worst part of it. I’m about a week in. I’m (going to) be back in no time, no time. … Having no smell, no taste, it makes your day dry. It makes your day gray. It makes it gray, for real.”
Phoenix’s two-time All-Star was less-forthcoming about his vaccination status. “I’m not gonna tell you guys if I have the vaccine or not, but you could still get COVID with the vaccine, for anybody that’s saying that,” said Booker. “Educate yourself.”
It sounds like Booker is just fine, which is to be expected given his age and the fact that he's in excellent shape. The fact that he won't reveal his vaccine status means he's probably not vaccinated.
