Good news Packers fans, you have two more disappointing seasons with Aaron Rodgers as the team's quarterback. His new deal keeps him in Green Bay for 2021 and 2022.
After that he can become a free agent and the Packers can't franchise tag him. Here are the details of his new deal according to the lovely Tom Pelissero.
There’s no new money in Aaron Rodgers’ new deal (adjusted upward to account for 18th game check):
2021
$6.8 million roster bonus (from March)
$14,464,706 signing bonus
$1.1M base salary
Total: $22,364,7062022
$26,470,588 salary
$500K workout bonus
Total: $26,970,688— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) July 29, 2021
This could all change if Rodgers decides to turn back into Kaaron Rodgers at any point. As it sits now he'll be munching cheese and falling short for two more seasons.
