I am not a political scientist or a political analyst, if anything, I know nothing.
I do think the whole political world on all ends of the spectrum becoming some kind of meme, where politicians are now influencers, or celebrities, is pretty silly.
It's like GET TO WORK people, tax dollars aren't paying you to be funny or relatable as you dance on TikTok. Sure it's cutesy, it gets a laugh and maybe that gets votes, but overall, I like the people who decide how our lives function to be a little more serious!
Then there's the whole delusion that we are just living in a movie, where like your favorite Marvel movie you have to pick sides, where GOOD vs EVIL take priority, when that's not really how life works, that's how basic narrative or stories work for simple minds to understand "That is a bad guy an that bad guy is bad, this is a good guy and he will remove the bad guy because he is good", but you don't need my analysis.
You can just turn to the myth, the legend, the mumbling, dress wearing, Celebrity Apprentice contestant and now, diplomat, who can turn his basketball skills and celebrity into serious policy changes, on an international level. Whether he's playing one-on-one with leaders in North Korea, or now heading to Russia to negotiate a prison swap that will bring Brittney Griner home, he's on it.
Maybe he's a great negotiator and diplomat and we're being insensitive to his true skills of team building and talking some sense into world leaders, or maybe we are at an insane time in the world, where the best we've got is a retired controversial pro athlete!
I actually appreciate his initiative, maybe if more people got involved in the right way, Dennis Rodman could do what other pro athletes do in retirement, Gold and party in Vegas with high class escorts, but international prisoner swap negotiations work too!
Former NBA player Dennis Rodman says he plans to visit Russia to seek the release of Brittney Griner.
"I got permission to go to Russia to help that girl," Rodman told @NBCNews at a restaurant in D.C. "I'm trying to go this week."https://t.co/jKKNNM16Eh

Maybe he'll bring out the passion he had against Shaq:
Maybe they'll make songs about him, but they already have.
