The Indianapolis Colts quarterback situation has become a revolving door and that reportedly won't be stopping this off-season.
After one season of Philip Rivers at quarterback they're planning on moving on from Carson Wentz after one season.
According to NFL insider Chris Mortensen, by March 18th Wentz will probably be traded or released.
From NJ.com:
According to ESPN NFL insider Chris Mortensen, the chance of Wentz remaining with the Colts look slim, with Mortensen saying the Colts are looking to offload Wentz and his contract ahead of the start of the new league year.
“Right now, it looks bleak,” Mortensen said on the ESPN show NFL Countdown. “By March 18, he will probably be traded or released. Wentz has $50 million of his base salary guaranteed. For Carson Wentz and the Colts, it looks like it was a one-year marriage that went wrong.”
It makes sense. That's a ridiculous amount of money to pay Carson Wentz. I highly doubt they'll find a trade partner for that price tag. I predict he'll be released.
