There's a huge interest in NFL. It's the biggest sport in the country. Taylor Swift has been endorsing it. The WAGs and the Team Owners and other peripheral talent have been able to go viral and get paid for being associated with it.
So it only makes sense that brands are going to target the NFL and every aspect that they can access around any given game.
Last night, Abercrombie ran a big campaign and pre-game event with the Lions WAGS, hosted by Christen Goff the QB's wife, therefore the most important of the WAGs on the WAG hierarchy chart.
The brand created an activation, hosted all the wives and girlfriends, transported them to the game which the Lions won 42 to 29 against the Seahawks and now get the residual marketing impressions when people like us post the story.
Marketing, a wonderful drug.
