BOXING
SJ - June 6, 2021
Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson made his boxing debut on the undercard of the Logan Paul-Floyd Mayweather circus. He took on MMA fighter Brian Maxwell.
By all accounts Johnson held his own throughout the exhibition match. He finished the four round bout despite getting caught and dropped in the last round.
Respect to @ochocinco. Lasted the whole fight and looked good until he got caught here. pic.twitter.com/vIgWRdoYwG

Had they had judges for the fight Johnson might have actually won even though he was knocked down in the final round. Johnson deserves some credit for holding his own in his first fight.
It's good to see boxing fully embrace circus fights. They might just be what gets people watching legit boxing again.
