Central Michigan quarterback John Keller is in critical condition after being shot in the chest at an off-campus party early Saturday morning.

According to reports a fight broke out at the party and someone retrieved a gun from their vehicle and opened fire.  Two were shot, including Keller.

From 247Sports:

"Two people were shot Saturday morning at the Deerfield Village apartment complex that's not far from the main campus here, and one of them is school quarterback John Keller," Domol said. "Keller is currently listed in critical condition while the other victim, who we don't know much about at this point, is stable. This happened at a party on Saturday around 1 a.m., according to the student paper, and several people showed up shortly after their arrival. A fight started and one person from that group went back to their car to get a weapon, came back and started shooting. Keller was in his second season with the school and did not play last season because of NCAA transfer requirements. His family set up a fundraiser on GoFundMe, hoping for some help and paying for the medical bills. There's currently no suspect in custody — though if you know anything in the investigation, you're asked to give the Isabella County Sheriff's Office a call."

It's a crazy world out there.  You have to be really careful about who you're hanging out with.

Hopefully Kellar is able to make a full recovery and they catch the coward who decided to open fire on him.
