With rookie Jalen Hurts taking over the starting quarterback job in Philadelphia the Eagles and Carson Wentz could be headed for a nasty divorce. The reports are that Wentz isn't willing to be a backup going forward.
Moving Wentz could prove easier said than done. He signed a massive four-year, $128 million contract extension with $107 million in guaranteed money back in 2019.
While it is difficult, it's not impossible. According to ESPN’s Mike Tannenbaum, Wentz could pay the Eagles $20 million to help them trade him. He laid out how that would work on "Get Up" on Wednesday morning.

Before today I had no idea writing a check to your team to help them trade you was even a possibility, but now I want it to happen more than anything. Wentz has been dog shit this year and he gets hurt all the time, but he did flash some MVP ability before having Nick Foles win him a ring.
Paying the Eagles to trade him to the Patriots would be the best thing ever. Imagine all of the haters reacting to that. It would be a beautiful thing to see.
