Cam Newton Reacts to Being Cut by the Patriots “Please Don’t Feel Sorry for Me”

Cam Newton went from being fairly confident that he would be the Patriots starting quarterback to out of a job in a matter of hours.  He took to his Instagram story to react to the news.

But don't feel sorry for Cam.  He's not going to feel sorry for himself and shared his thoughts on being released, "please don’t feel sorry for me."

So why did the Patriots send the former league MVP packing?  Too much rap music for New England?  According to reports, Cam's vaccine status played a role.

A couple of factors in play with releasing Cam Newton rather than keeping him on as the Patriots' backup: His command of the locker room, and his vaccination status. Neither make him an ideal choice as a backup behind a rookie QB.

It would appear at this point his only options are as a backup somewhere.  The good news is there are more than one team that could use a veteran backup.

It's a matter of a team is willing to bring him in and whether or not he'll accept a backup role.
