Buccaneers CB Carlton Davis Uses Anti-Asian Slur Then Blames the Media During His Apology

SJ - April 5, 2021

Buccaneers cornerback Carlton Davis tweeted then deleted an anti-Asian slur over the weekend.  He would later deliver an interesting apology.

According to Davis the word means something else in southern Florida.  And it's the media's fault, not his, for not knowing what the actual meaning is.

I would expect the Bucs to treat this situation much like the Heat did Meyers Leonard's situation.  Except they probably won't suspend him, then trade him.

So Davis likely won't be released by his new team like Leonard was after he used a word he claimed to not know the meaning of.

Other than that Davis will probably face the same consequences...
