Earlier this month Brooks Koepka made the decision to leave the PGA Tour for LIV Golf. The move, as with other golfers who made the move, was met with plenty of criticism.
Koepka revealed the reason he decided to make the move to LIV Golf. He points to the injuries he's had to deal with over the last couple of years.
“What I’ve had to go through the last two years on my knees, the pain, the rehab, all this stuff, you realize, you know, I need a little bit more time off,” Koepka said. “I’ll be the first one to say it: It’s not been an easy last couple of years, and I think having a little more breaks, a little more time at home to make sure I’m 100% before I go play in an event and don’t feel like I’m forced to play right away [is good].”
I think he left off one major factor in his decision. The money.
Sure the time off in LIV Golf is nice, but I bet the paydays played a little bit of a factor in his decision. All of the golfers who made the switch should just say they made the switch because of the money.
