Britt McHenry was back on the sidelines during last Thursday night's game in Washington between the Giants and the Football Team. She's been through a lot since being laid off by ESPN in 2017.
The former ESPN sideline reporter dealt with a sexual harassment controversy involving a co-host at FOX News and brain cancer surgery in early 2020.
Both of those things are behind her now and she was happy to be back on the sideline for Fox 5 DC. Here's what she had to say about her return:
Wow. First of all, it’s been a full year since I’ve posted to my IG feed. So, Proof of life. 😂
If you would have told me a year and a half ago, when I was diagnosed with brain cancer, I’d be standing back on the sidelines covering football…I’m not sure I’d believe you. It felt so natural. My love and passion will always be sports media. I’ve worn different hats, covered politics and news, but this…it’s where I thrive. I loved seeing former colleagues, current coworkers and all the wonderful employees at Fed Ex Field who’ve literally seen me grow up on and off camera. #WFT win over the #Giants was one for the memory books.
Let this be a reminder: No matter what adversity you face or obstacles you overcome…you’re stronger than what you’re facing. Love y’all. Here’s to more football (and soon hockey) @fox5dc

It's good to see Britt back on the sidelines sticking to sports. She'll be covering hockey soon too. It's not ESPN and insulting tow company employees, but god willing she'll be at that level soon.
