The most surprising cut of the preseason was the Patriots cutting Cam Newton. I don't think anyone saw it coming.
Following the surprise move by New England came reports that Cam's vaccination status played a role in the decision to let him go. Bill Belichick was asked about those reports and denied that Cam being unvaccinated had anything to do with the Patriots cutting him.
Belichick could just be learning from Urban Meyer's mistake or he could be telling the truth. He added to the denial that being vaccinated doesn't mean you won't test positive for COVID.
Asked if Cam Newton's vaccination status was a factor in his release, Bill Belichick says: "No."
Belichick also notes vaccinated NFL players and coaches are testing positive.
"Your implication that vaccination solves every problem ... that has not been substantiated ..."

It sounds like Belichick might be an anti-vaxxer. We all know you can't have or voice a unapproved opinion. Good thing Bill doesn't give a shit.
