The New England Patriots open the 2020 season on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Head coach Bill Belichick isn't looking past them at all.
Belichick was asked about his long-term future in New England and gave the most Belichick response ever, "Yeah, I am just trying to get ready for Miami. I don't know. Long-term for me would be Sunday."
The question comes as at least one oddsmaker has it more likely that this will be his last season with the Patriots than not.
One oddsmaker has it more likely Bill Belichick leaves NE in 2021 than he returns. On @OMFonWEEI, Belichick was asked about it: "Yeah, I am just trying to get ready for Miami. I don't know. Long-term for me would be Sunday."

If anyone thought Belichick was going to give any other answer than the one he gave then they're out of their mind. This is who he is. The fact that there might be some rumblings about his future isn't going to make him open up about it.
He's going to troll the media all the way to the end and I love it.
