On Tuesday Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Mackensie Alexander left training camp after his father was reported missing in Florida. His father, Jean Odney Alexandre, went missing on Monday during a berry-picking trip with another man.
Alexander returned home to Florida and was arrested on Tuesday night on one count of battery. According to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, the arrest came after he allegedly confronted the man who left behind his father.
As the search continues for #Bengals CB Mackensie Alexander’s missing father, Alexander was arrested Tuesday night on one count of battery, per Collier County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office records. He’d returned home to Florida after his father’s disappearance Monday.

Mackensie Alexander remains in custody and no arrest report has been released. My understanding is he allegedly confronted the man who left behind his father, Jean Odney Alexandre, on a berry-picking trip. Background on a sad and troubling story: https://t.co/cvEiTaptJe

It sounds like Alexander isn't buying the berry-picking trip. There certainly appears to be more to the story than what is known at the moment. Hopefully Alexander's father is found alive and well.
