There will be no quarterback competition entering next season in Chicago between Andy Dalton and Nick Foles. On Wednesday the Bears announced that the newly signed Dalton was the team's starting quarterback.
This official announcement backs up Dalton's claim that he was told he was the starter prior to signing his deal with the Bears.
