A's pitcher Jesus Luzardo isn't the first MLB player to hurt himself in a bizarre way. He's not even the first MLB player to injure himself playing video games.
Luzardo might be the first however to break a finger by "accidentally bumping his hand" on a desk while playing video games. He suffered a hairline fracture in his pinky and will miss time.
Here's Bob Melvin's hilarious explanation of how Luzardo hurt himself.

This is the perfect example of an injury that you lie about. Don't be the guy that breaks his pinky playing video games. Tell everyone that the finger was smashed putting dumbbells back on a rack or something.
Say almost anything else. Getting pissed off while playing a video game and hurting yourself is just stupid.
