A's utility man Chad Pinder left Monday night's game after he took a pitch to the back of the head. Luckily for him it appeared to be an breaking ball of some kind, because Pinder took it to the head not the helmet.
As Pinder was attempting to get out of the way he turned and his shoulder knocked his helmet off. Apparently he has a hard head because despite being hit in the head with a baseball he didn't enter the concussion protocol.
Hope Chad Pinder is okay. This was brutal. @kron4news pic.twitter.com/l9iJV9FCoc

Maybe next time a simple turn of the shoulder will do. I'm sure it would have been much better for him had the ball hit his arm and not bounced off the back of his dome.
