The NFL is on a hot streak right now when it comes to player arrests.
Over the weekend, Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver added his name to the list when he was arrested for a DWI and unlawfully carrying a firearm. When he was pulled over police reportedly found him with an open beer between his legs.
After failing a field sobriety test, Oliver, who was wearing a Bills t-shirt at the time, was taken for a mandatory blood draw before being taken to jail. A search of his vehicle found a pistol but no drugs.
Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver was arrested Saturday night in his hometown of Houston on charges of driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
Oliver is being held at Montgomery County Jail after being pulled over on State Highway 242. Both charges are misdemeanors, according to the jail’s website.
Lucky for us, there's a video of Oliver failing his field sobriety test and being placed in handcuffs.
NFL players are proving one thing is very clear, the lockdown isn't going to hold them down. They're going to get arrested as if it was business as usual. Head injuries and legal troubles, what a sport!
