The WNBA is hot, not necessarily hot in the traditional sense of the term hot, but it's pretty popular, viral and exciting for brands, which means money is being thrown at it.

They've taken all the viral college basketball players and brought them into the league as rookies, and all of a sudden, people care about the WNBA.

Since people are there for the sport and the athleticism of the sport, the players now go viral for the outfits they wear to the games.

You can take the woman off the course and use her as a marketing spokesmodel for fashion, which is exactly what all those female athletes meant when they got mad at us dudes for only caring about them as athletes for being hot.

So all that wrongful accusations of being misogynists or toxic masculines who objectify women, is now thrown out the window because the fashion brands are paying the athletes lots of money to be objects that sell their products.

All this to say, the internet is inconsistent with it's rage, outrage, anger and finger pointing.
