Alix Earle went through a soft cancel, which means she wasn't cancelled at all, but people pulled up some of her old comments on the internet where she used the N-word with an "a" not a hard "r".
As much as it is fun to hate her, she was around 15 years old when the comments were made and it's pretty clear that she was just making a reference in a term that was used in every hit song, which makes it impossible for kids to really understand the gravity or the offensiveness of the word when they hear it in every trending song.
She issued a huge apology and went quiet for a week, taking that moment of silent in hopes people forget, but the internet never forgets.
Instead of an apology, she should have sued all the record labels responsible for publishing, monetizing and exploiting such profanity, making the word less powerful or offensive when being in every song.
We are not defending Alix Earle, but the internet is ridiculous.
She is still in a romantic relationship with Braxton Berrios of the Dolphins and she posted some "getting ready for some football" content the other day.
