WORLD ATHLETICS
Tex Hollywood - February 12, 2025
After the Kanye West scandal, where he went on a huge rant that offended a whole group of people, which he leveled-up by selling offensive T-shirts featuring what has become a hate symbol to that group of people, we found ourselves doing a bit of a deep dig on some of the brands of the past that supported the whole Nazi thing.
Hugo Boss was an early Nazi, joining the party in the 1930s and eventually outfitting the army, the special services and the youth.
The brand also used slave labor from Poland and France to make their uniforms, and in the 1990s were sued by Holocaust survivors, to which they issued an apology.
Today, the brand is using model, influencer, viral sensation from Germany to push their products on you, which is a more wholesome and less terrifying way, but that company history is just wild!
It doesn't stop Alica from taking those pay checks or us from staring at her photoshoots, even if it probably should.
Next up, Adidas, who outfitted the Nazi army with shoes!
