NFL writer and MVP voter Hub Arkush made the decision that he wasn't going to vote for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for MVP because in his words Rodgers is the "biggest jerk in the league."
When asked about it Rodgers responded by calling the writer a "bum." He went on to say that Arkush should be excluded from voting for the MVP award.
"I think he’s a bum. I think he’s an absolute bum. He doesn’t know me. I don’t know who he is. No one knew who he was, probably, until yesterday’s comments. And I listened to the comments. But to say he had his mind made up in the summertime, in the offseason that I had zero chance of winning MVP. In my opinion, that should exclude [him from] future votes."

I'm as big of an Aaron Rodgers hater as there is, but he's 100% correct about this. It's about his performance on the field and how important that performance is to his team. Nobody can argue with what Rodgers has meant to his team this year.
Being a jerk shouldn't disqualify Rodgers from the MVP conversation, playing in the NFC North and beating up on those teams twice a year should. Take this writer's voting privileges away and then give the MVP award to Brady, win-win.
