Patrick Mahomes at the Yankees vs Royals Game!

Patrick Mahomes made his way out to a New York Yankees game last night and the internet is getting mad at him.

The Royals ended up tying the game at 2-2, but they didn't have a single run up until the fifth inning.

Once the Royals picked things up, Mahomes got excited and ran up to his former teammate, Gehrig Dieter, who was dressed in Yankees gear and got in his face.

The stadium was apparently going nuts at the time, because the Royals had just made their comeback.

The internet has decided that this is not very classy of the star player rooting for his city's team.

They clearly have never been to a sports bar or even a friend's house where there's a little sports smack talking and rivalry.

We're sure that Dieter was doing his fair share of smack talking the top 5 innings.
