Alexandra Ianculescu is an Olympian in the Shower!

Alexandra Ianculescu is a Canadian Olympian who was competing in Speed Skating back in the 2018 Olympics for her native Romania.. She didn't win, but she still got the notch on her belt of accomplishments most peopel do not have. She retired from Speed Skating back in 2021, but has since focused on cycling, where she is training to potentially get another shot at the Olympics.

In her spare time, when she's not training at the elite level, she runs a few companies and an OF, where she sells exclusive content to the fans, which seems to be the goto sponsor of choice in this current climate of all money being fed to influencers instead of credible athletes.

I don't think she minds it all too much!

Here she is celebrating 6 years since the Olympics, where she wrote:

6 years ago on this day (Feb 18), I made my Olympic Debut in long track speed skating.

Swipe through for a stroll down memory lane.

As I reflect on all the hard work I put in, I also realized that we shouldn’t ever have just one end goal. I got to that start line, the start line of the Olympics that I had been dreaming of my entire life, and I remember asking myself “this is it??” Just before my race. I then knew that I wasn’t done with my athletic endeavours and that getting there had become a way of life, not just a goal.

It became something I did on a daily basis, not just specific training to prepare to race to win. It was the daily preparation that became a routine so well rehearsed, that once I did achieve my “ultimate” goal, It was as if I had been there before.

I did not have a successful Olympics, if you measure success in hardware, but for me the true success was showing up on that start line and knowing there was more to this life and that it was just the beginning.
