This story was generating hype a few days ago, but the volleyball game happened last night, when over 92,000 people filled a stadium for the Lincoln game against Omaha.

The state loves volleyball for some reason, the Huskers have sold out 306 consecutive matches, they have led attendance since 2013 across all schools and 8 out of 9 biggest crowds in the history of NCAA Volleyball have involved Nebraska. They like their tall midwestern gals! Only 3 on the roster are under 6 foot tall!

The attendance broke the record for the most attended female sports game, the previous attendance record was 91,648 for a Championship League soccer match between Barcelona and Real Madrid. They claim that a 1971 Mexican soccer match had over 110,000 fans in the stands for the Women's World cup, the 1999 World Cup in Pasadena had 90,185 people in attendance and according to the NCAA 90,000 is among the largest non-football game attendance across all sports and genders, but a Hockey game between Michigan and Michigan state brought in over 113,000 fans because Michigan loves hockey.

They decided to make an event out of beating this record last spring, when they announced the daylong celebration.

The Huskers had a three set sweep of Omaha and Country singer Scotty McCreery performed after the game.

Memorial Stadium, where they had the event has a capacity of 85,000 for football, but with the event being around Volleyball they could use the field for more seats.

The team did a tunnel walk before first serve, something you generally don't see volleyball players do.

Here are some pics of Maise Christine, who is one of the players who is under 6 feet tall!
