Mexican QB Diana Flores got chased by a bunch of sports legends in one of the more memorable ads from last night's Super Bowl.
The premise, a little creepy, you know a young Mexican woman being forced to jump off buildings to escape big men, but maybe people are getting a little more laid back about the whole #metoo thing. You know, not putting trigger warnings on the ad was a step in the right direction!
According to stats, women account for 47 percent of the NFL fan base, so I guess they want to target and build off that.
The logic is that if women are playing the game, or a variation of the game, drawing more attention to that, investing in that, will lead to more future fans, making the NFL more money down the line.
That is why they recruited Mexican Flag Football QB, Diana Flores, who led Mexico to the World's Game title last year in Women's Flag Football.
In the ad, she is chased by Erin Andrews, Sauce Gardner, Jalem Ramsey, Cam Heyward, Aidan Hutchinson and Devante Adams. Mr Beast makes an appearance and Tennis legend Billie Jean King, NIL deal recipient Bella Rassmussen and Flores' US rival, Vanita Krouch all get involved in trying to get her flag, even her mom tries to get it.
Here's the commercial, if you missed it:
Here are some pics of Flores as she's clearly one to look out for!
