Mattress Mack Makes a Bet on the Cowboys!

Texas business man, turned sports betting icon who made something like 70 million dollars when betting 10 million dollars on the World Series this past year, has made a 2 million dollar bet on the Cowboys and 49ers game, where if the Cowboys win, he'll walk away with 3.3 million dollars.

I don't think betting on your home state of Texas teams is really a scientific way to predict the outcome, since he got lucky with the Astros bet. It's probably about as sound as when talk shows have puppies come out to see if they eat out of the Cowboys or 49ers bowl.

After a 75 million dollar win, throwing 2 million to keep your name in the social media realm is probably good for business.

I also have to agree with the twitter user who said, clearly mattresses are overpriced if they allow a mattress vendor to make 10 million dollar negligent bets that can work out sometimes, but not all of the time!
